2025-07-22

Typhoon No. 6 of this year, "Wipha" (typhoon level), has weakened its impact on the winds in Xiamen and instead brought rain.

Under the influence of the peripheral circulation of "Wepa", it is expected that there will be a heavy rain process in our city from today to the daytime of the 23rd, with the strongest precipitation period occurring on the 21st.

The cumulative rainfall during the process can reach 120 to 180 millimeters, with local areas reaching 250 millimeters, and the maximum hourly rainfall intensity is 60 to 80 millimeters. During precipitation, there will be short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds and other severe convective weather. Precipitation will weaken starting from the night of the 23rd.
Under the continuous erosion of rain, the temperature has further dropped. On the 21st and 22nd, the highest temperature in the urban area of our city was 28℃, and the lowest temperature at night and in the early morning was approximately 25℃.
